[THE VISION]

Last year had ended in a tailspin of glorious fire when Mirage had contracted a flu-like sickness. She had tried to continue hosting The Vision but had fainted in the middle of a transmission as she spoke ill about District Two. Some called it karma, others said it was the Two curse, rumors of witchcraft ensued throughout the Capitol. But most of all there was worry that everyone's favorite shit-talking diva was not going to be telling them what to do or whom to root for. It was an outrage.

Mirage would come back on air to thank all of her fans for all the sweet notes, the worry they had shown and getting the hashtag #PrayForMirage trending on Squawker less than 24 hours before the gargantuan queen had collapsed before their very eyes. It was touching, it was moving, but more importantly it had made her continue to be relevant despite not being able to host her show.

And thus, here she was again. Back to health and ready to begin talking shit about everything and everyone, no one was safe when Mirage was live. She sat on her regular couch, however the decor had changed to pictures of decaying nature, dead roses, dead greenery to remind her loyal fans of what she had been through just the year prior. No one had ever said that Mirage was not a strategic mastermind.

"Welcome dahlings to yet another outstanding year of The Vision. I am sure you are all beyond excited and thrilled to share this marvelous year with me, and I am too. All of your letters were incredibly touching. I have read every single one of them, and every single squawk you have sent my way as well. Unfortunately there are so many that I do not have time to reply to every single one of them," that was a lie, she simply did not care to do so, her time was far too precious to waste in such things, "but I have been touched and thankful for every one of them, having fans as loyal as all of you is what got me through those dark days when the doctors were not sure if I would make it," yet another lie, they had known she would be fine, she had simply overworked herself and needed to rest. The channel had continued paying her as she was in medical leave which allowed her to continue her life of luxury once the sickness was gone, "So from the bottom of my cold heart please know that you matter to me, and thank you," there was still no smile, but her eyes are softer and the corners of her mouth lifted ever so slightly. The fans would go crazy for that. They had gotten Mirage to almost smile, it would go viral quickly. In a business like hers being relevant and talked about was the only way to stay on air, and she was milking every second for what it was worth. "And now, before we get to the reaping and the analyzing of all the new batch of tributes, here are some commercials from some of our sponsors," even the commercials had been strategic in nature: they were all about doctors, insurance, pills, stuff to remind her audience of what they could have lost.

Mirage was the queen of making a statement.
OOC: Intro post. Will start commenting on the tributes reapings once the majority have went ahead and posted. Needed to make a post for the activity check tho

The televisions screens will come back from commercials to find Mirage sitting on her chair looking as regal as ever, leg crossed, glass of wine in one hand and her signature stone-cold face. After a few seconds for her loyal fans to admire her, she finally spoke: ”Welcome back dahlings, I hope you are ready for these Reapings. I am sure you have all seen them and mon couer talk about the drama! So much in so many districts, it makes me think that we have a great roaster and we can have high expectations from the 122nd Hunger Games. Don't we? I believe so, let's get started...”

The screen split, on the left remained Mirage, on the right the Reaping for District One started playing, ”Let's begin with District One, last year they had disappointing tributes, and the year before they didn't do much better despite the promise. I am hesitant to say much good considering their track record but... what about that Reaping? Antopie Damu-Almasi volunteered, then proceeded to beat up a girl who complained. Now, dhalings you know me and I know it all... a trusted source tells me the beat up girl is Phaedra Shine who was supposed to be the original volunteer, and Miss Damu-Almasi took the spot, apparently it's a huge controversy. @Reverie Splendor dahling, what happened? I thought you had your tributes checked and disciplined. Guess the golden era of One has come and gone, hm?” a long sip of wine before she spoke about the male tribute.

[Insert D2 here if we get tributes]

”Next, we have everyone's favorite nerds. Never a district to impress us District Three once again reaped two tributes who don't seem like they can amount to much. Neither cried, but you could tell @Sofia Temple wanted to, but she handled herself way better than other girls before her, so... good on her. Honestly, I doubt she can come close to being half the killer and strategist that Dull Optic was a few Games ago. If anything Sophia seems much more like the last year's girl who died in the Bloodbath,” a careless shrug and a sip of wine, ”The boy, @Gauge Watts is not much better off, he is older which is not saying much really. But he doesn't look strong, or particularly athletic. He wears thick glasses and I cannot wait until he loses them while running and stumbles through the Arena until he dies, watch it happen.” District Three never got good reviews because so far they had been beyond unimpressive.

The image changed to the beautiful beaches of District Four, ”And now, everyone's favorite District: Four. Unfortunately unlike last years incredibly promising tributes the ones this year are a little overwhelming... well, no, allow me to correct that, @Haven Marinus is underwhelming, she seems younger than the norm, smaller too, and she was not a volunteer either which brings down her points a lot. I heard she was the one who was meant to go in regardless which makes it a huge coincidence, but I wouldn't hold my breath for her whatsoever. There were no smiles, no showmanship, no... je ne sais quoi...” a shrug, Mirage enjoyed the drama and there had been none, ”Luckily for Haven, her partner @Hurricane Ebbenfleau not only is a strapping young man, but has enough flare and personality for both. Talk about an entrance, the costuming, the showmanship... this is a young man who knows exactly how to cater to his audience, he understands the Hunger Games, and frankly I have a great feeling. We might be looking at our winner my dahlings!”

”After the impressive showing by Five last year, it is safe to say the always forgotten district is starting to put itself back in the map. Or at least that was the hope, but let me tell you, I am not too sure this year. Look, watch that, see how @Amethyst Everforest looks completely void of emotion? She is hard to read as she makes her way up the stage, and throughout the reaping really. Her parents are crying though, you can see that when you look at the crowd, but she is completely lacking a reaction. There's two ways this can go, I believe. Either she freezes and dies at the Bloodbath or she turns out to be some surprising emotionless killing machine. Frankly I am hoping for the second one, but I fear it will be the first one,” a shrug, she couldn't care less about Five or Amethyst, she clearly didn't have the star quality to become one of Mirage's darlings.
OOC: Doing District Six to Twelve after the D6M, D7M, D8M and D11M all post their Reaping so I don't have to go back and edit.
As for those who have never met Mirage, please keep in mind this is a Capitol's POV on the Games, so please do not take it personal if the opinions are not favorable. If you would rather me not talk about your character throughout the Games, just let me know, it's no problem. This is all for good fun.

”Welcome back dahlings! Hope you didn't miss me too much. But if you did, then let's get right to it. We are now going to the lowest of lows, District Six where everyone is a druggie which was further proven by last years tributes. This time around, quelle surprise! Two boys... or... what looks like two boys. We all know that's not possible because the Reaping takes one male and one female tribute, and here we have Wheelemina Mau who dresses, acts, and looks like a boy, isn't that interesting? The drama! I am hoping that once in the Capitol Wheelemina can be feminized, put in a nice dress, given some make-up... I think she has some real potential, don't you? And her District partner? Clearly a drug-addict, @Epoxy Bazalgette looks exactly how a druggie would, doesn't he? So serious too, a curt nod and a dead-pan face... what an interesting team for Six. One druggie and one project for the stylist, what a handful!” a shrug because Six had never been spoken about this much, they were worthless and filthy and everyone knew it.

”Moving on we have one of my personal favorite lower districts, Seven, which has been disappointing me lately, their tributes are not up to par to what one would expect with all the sexy lumberjack opportunities. And once again @Oren Manning is NOT the type of lumberjack I would want to be with. That girl hair, and he is too skinny. BUT, there is some hope! Did you see that giant grin when reaching the stage? Oren might just know what this is all about, a showman perhaps? A Seven tribute who we all don't automatically hate or find boring? Let's hope so, and maybe even with a haircut and more food he can be good-looking, who knows?” a pause and a long sip of wine”And his district partner @Robyn Thistila what an interesting name, and yet another smiling tribute. I love it! Don't you? Two tributes who realize what a great honor it is to go into the Hunger Games! Look at that waving at the crowd? This girl COULD be a star, and hopefully she doesn't bore us, I don't see her doing too well though, she is small and doesn't seem to have the ~it~ factor but my hopes are up. Everyone knows we have had surprises before, and maybe this year the Sevens can be the big revelation,” another shrug.

”And now, we move to the dirty factories of Eight. And the boy tribute @Eli Loom looks like he fits right in with his ashy complexion and super skinny frame. I bet you he works in the factories. Ah! And here it is, see how he says something to one of the boys as he makes his way up the stage? We can't hear what it is, but one of my sources said he said something about a lover, a forbidden one at that. My sources are working to figure out who this lover is, but there are rumors saying it's someone important. The major's daughter perhaps? Sneaking around with street scum like Eli Loom? What a scandal!” she finished the wine and started to refill her glass.

”In Nine, we have @Gage Lockvale who also stopped in the crowd to say something to a little girl who was looking at him, the word mom was made-out from his lips, and if you look carefully it is obvious the little girl is his sister. The similarity is uncanny. What a tragedy! Unlike most of this roster Gage was actually escorted to the scenario by Peace-Keepers which doesn't fare well for him, I heard the Peace-Keepers were asked to escort him as they feared he would run away. Interesting, isn't it? In comparison to other Nines he looks stronger, perhaps we won't see Nine die within the first few hours of the Games this time?” a shrug, she didn't really care about the situation. Nine was boring, no one ever sponsored it nor cared about it.

”And finally, our first lower District volunteer... we have had a lot of those as of lately have we not? It's starting to become expected, but who am I to complain? The drama is exquisite! And much like last year the volunteer this time does not appear all too strong, @Falabella Mustang who rumor has it has a death wish. She hugged the girl she volunteered for, I heard they are half-sisters, product of Falabella's father's second family, scandalous isn't it?! A cheating father and estranged sisters, what a story! And now, because of her father's cheating Falabella volunteered because she cannot live with the thought that she was not good enough for her father that he had to go make a new family, oh, the drama!” a dramatic pause to let it sink in with the viewers, they would go crazy squawking about it, ”Last year the Tens made it super far, but this year with Falabella's death wish I doubt she would make it past the first death, perhaps she even will jump off her platform, now wouldn't that be intense?!”

”And then, some hope for District Eleven at last. After the super weak twins, and that tiny Ceres last year they needed a tribute who looked like he could be some competition. And they got it! @Aero Reeves looks strong, serious, and while he hung his head at first, by the time he reaches the stage he seems to have done a whole 360 and look as determined as some of the Careers. I have a good feeling about him my dahlings. I think Aero will make it far, not win, of course, he is too much of a pleb but I would be surprised if he doesn't reach at least the top eight. Trust me!”

The screen changed for the last time into the coal mines of District Twelve, ”And finally, to wrap up the Reapings we have come to the dirtiest district, almost as bad as Six and Eight, but close enough. We have @Griffin Charcoal whose glare is the product of nightmares I tell you! Mon coeur if looks could kill all of us would be dead by now! And right into the camera!!! This kid has the killer instinct I tell you dahlings, he will be a front-runner, and Twelve will finally have some hope. Maybe prove to all of us Capitolites Twelve is not the District's dumpster. Hint: it is not, that's Six. But maybe others will agree finally. Griffin is great, and what about that faint smile that got caught before being ushered to the justice building? Perhaps this tribute was thinking of killing... savage! Can Twelve win? No, but I have a feeling Griffin will put on a show, he is my nominee for #villain of the Games.”

”Unfortunately that is all the time we have today, but tune in tomorrow to hear about the parade, and much more! Remember to message me on Squaker with all the hot goss you can think off. Have a good night dahlings!”

”Hello dahlings! Welcome back to The Vision, with your host Mirage, queen of all the hot goss of the Hunger Games…” a pause, an eyebrow raise, ”I am sure you all saw that disaster of a parade, didn’t you? Mon coeur what a disaster! Where has the creativity for our Stylists gone?” she shook her head, every year she was the most critical about the parade. Before being Mirage she had been Ermis Platinum, famed stylist until scandal had derailed his career. Mirage had always been interested in fashion as that was her origin, and thus her parade critiques were harsh, particularly those for the stylist of Two, Ermis’ old nemesis.
”Let’s not waste time on our jam-packed show today, let’s get started with District One. Considering the outfits that have been used beforehand with One, I suppose this year they upped the ante, both Antiope and Christopaz looked great covered in diamonds with flesh colors, sparkling. Was it the most creative? No, but it was good enough. And they were smiling and waving at the crowd. Making an impression, definitely more favorable than the scandal at the Reaping. Perhaps @Reverie Splendor finally stepped up and shaped his tributes up to One’s standard,” a shrug, she didn’t really care what the logic behind it was.
”Next we have the crazy twins from Two… as usual the lack of creativity from their stylist is obvious. I do not understand for the life of me why he hasn’t been fired yet, his name is not even relevant… what is even his name?” she knew his name though, but the humiliation he would feel with that statement would be thrilling, ”the twins, when it comes to District Two tributes of recent years, are the weirdest and most underwhelming. Their smiles gave me chills, and not in the good way!” she shuddered overdramatically, ”Anyways, next!”

D3 coming soon, waiting for the Parade to happen.

”District Four… it seems like the stylists ran out of ideas. @Hurricane Ebbenfleau is wearing the same thing he was the the reaping was he not? Disappointing, considering how much flare the boy gave during the Reaping this was their chance to actually go all out, instead they got lazy. @Haven Marinus looked more surprising, frankly disappointed that she overshadowed Mirage’s dahling Hurricane because of the vast difference from the Reaping. The showmanship during the actual parade was outstanding from him, though,” a shrug, she was still betting on Hurricane but the parade had been disappointing overall. Couldn’t really blame him though, his stylists had let him down hardcore.

D5 coming soon, waiting for the Parade to happen.

”Dahlings it’s time for District Six, our least favorite district of them all! During the Reaping you all helped me get #MakeWheeleminaGirly trending on Squawker and it looks like our campaign worked, did you see her at the parade? It’s the best she has ever looked! What an outstanding job by the stylist, Amour dahling you are one of the good ones!” a wink, @Epoxy Bazalgette was equally great, he still needs to be warm, welcoming or have a personality, but in terms of the outfit… great job, especially in comparison to all the disappointments going around,” a shrug.

”It’s time for a quick commercial break, but when we come back we will dissect the rest of this parade dahlings,” the camera light turned off and Mirage stretched, she hated the parade, it reminded her of the days when she used to slave herself to make an outfit for a pair of ungrateful brats.

The camera light comes back on and Mirage looks right into it, during the break she had a chance to get make-up retouched. Once upon a time she had to do it all herself, but now she had people who did her make-up for her, it was truly a glorious thing because make-up had always been her least favorite thing. She still designed her own outrageous garments from time to time, but she enjoyed allowing others to do all the grunt work. She had earned it through her fame.

”Welcome back dahlings, hope you didn't miss me too much,” if she smiled she would have done so, instead she stared at the camera and raised an eyebrow. Ice-cold. ”Now let's get down to business. District Seven... one of my favorite low districts has an interesting pair of tributes, they are both all smiles and they look outstanding in the costumes dear Leiana conjured, but the costumes cannot hide the lack of muscle mass the two of them have. @Oren Manning is too small to be showing that much skin, he looks great though, and his costume pairs up perfectly with @Robyn Thistila's which is good news, but mon coeur, I don't know if good styling could really save them in the Arena,”

”District Eight... unimpressive, once again, more disappointment in this parade. The outfits are far too complex for two very plain looking tributes, they don't accentuate them at all. I am sure that @Eli Loom our young love-stricken tribute feels special though, this is probably what the mayor's family wears so he finally fits on that narrative, hm...?” a sip of the wine with a mocking glance, ”No smiles though, see him looking straight at the crowd? I heard form a good source it was a source of rebellion, because of the outfit he was forced to wear, he refused to appear happy because he wants to appear strong for his lover. Scandalous!”

”And next is the snoozefest of District Nine. Yet another less than creative outfit for an incredibly plain district... snore! The stylist even tied up @Gage Lockvale's hair which was his one distinguishing feature... they really watered down the tribute, and his district partner is not much better,”

”Let's simply move on, and unfortunately there is nothing too exciting next. @Falabella Mustang's story captivated us during the Reaping, it was truly intriguing. And almost as a mockery it seems like they dressed her up as cattle. Cows are born to get killed, and Falabella came here to die out of guilt. Very appropriate but not flattering, then again they didn't have much to work with, did they? A girl who wants to die certainly will not really gain many sponsors. Tsk,” a shrug and a dismissive hand wave, she cared little about the story any longer.

”And for the first time in years I have to say I do not hate Eleven's looks for the parade, mad props go to young stylist @Josephine Lark, there is a certain simplicity with the outfits that is so refreshing. She didn't go over the top, it's the little details that stand out, something that many of this year's designers could learn from. @Aero Reeves continues to prove my assumptions right, now that we get to see his body and those muscles... mon coeur, I am impressed, definitely the victory District Eleven could have been waiting for. Out of all the lower districts he is the one who I can see winning. And his performance at the parade only further shows that,”

”To wrap this up, we have my other low-district front-runner @Griffin Charcoal whose outfit is just ridiculous. Glitter? Really? Uncreative, uninnovative, and flat out overdone. Big no for us, I am not sure what is with all these young designers choosing to show skin from tributes who simply should remain clothed... Griffin was fierce dahlings during the reaping but now seeing him covered in glitter and black eyeshadow he has lost all his edge. He has lost me, and you all know I am not one to lose hope on my choices. @Raven Anthracite is not much better off, barely clothed, not very interesting... poor performance. District Twelve went from being one of the few I had hopes for to being shattered by a poor job from this parade performance. What a shame!”

”Well dahlings, that's all the time we have today. I hope you enjoyed the show. Tune in next time for the interview break-down, and after that the Game-maker score reveal party and Mirage's prediction right before launch,” a wave, and the camera light went off again. Another show successfully wrapped up. Her ratings would be through the ceiling soon.

Mirage was pissed off. This was the second year in which she had not been able to keep up with the Hunger Games, and Squawker was not having it. The high-heeled diva had been reading the comments regarding her mysterious disappearance again, and despite the fact that her agent had put out a statement regarding her precarious health, the fans seemed to think that something else was happening. Was The Vision going to be canceled? Rumor was, someone younger was about to take over her prime-time spot on television. But she would not allow it. So, despite the fact that she felt like absolute garbage she put on her dress, her heels, and make-up and headed to the studio. All eyes were on her as she walked in, her fingers snapping and pointing at the cameras, people rushing to make sure that she had what she needed. It was unexpected but they knew better than to deny her anything.

She sat on her usual spot and crossed her legs, the fans would notice she was paler despite the make-up that was trying to cover it up. When the red light on the camera turned on, Mirage started:
”Hello dahlings, I know you missed me. I have been reading your comments on Squawker. But as you can see, the show must go on despite the fact that I am not feeling to my best. But there was nothing worst than feeling like I was letting my lovely fans down by not being here,” she started, the closest thing to an apology anyone would get, ”A lot has happened since we last spoke. We had a lackluster bloodbath where lame tributes were killed, the entire District Two became the first one to be eliminated this Games thanks to Antiope Damu-Almasi, the pride of District One. Besides that, probably the most exciting thing to happen was the escape by @Epoxy Bazalgette and @Wheeler Mau which forced the other tributes to stay behind and all share the only other exit from the Cornucopia. Unfortunately for the Sixes what was supposed to be a well executed plan was foiled by the lack of action we saw on that elevator. It was almost as if the tributes could not remember only one gets out of the Arena. Not even the Fours chose to attack which raised a lot of eyebrows.” a pause, a chance for everyone to catch up or reminiscence on the Bloodbath.

”The rest of Day One was not much better. We lost handsome Christophaz Zest from District One after he confronted the strange alliance between the Twelves, @Robyn Thistila and @Hurricane Ebbenfleau, which I know I am not the only one to be shocked by the sudden alliance. The breaking of the Pack in a matter of a few minutes, and the establishment of a new alliance for each of the two Fours leaving Antiope behind to deal with her own situation,” she paused and shrugged realizing a recap of the events so far was not worth the time she had.

”But, you know what? We are finally back! And I will not recap the events of three days so far, instead let's talk about the tributes and their journeys as we start day Four,” a small pause before starting, ”First we have Antiope Damu-Almasi from One, who has proven to be one of the most aggressive and violent tributes in the last few Hunger Games, she has yet to reject a fight, or not want to end conflict. I think it's visible that she is hurting but we all hope she receives enough healing supplies to keep providing us with all the entertainment. Then again, her fight with Haven Marinus could easily go sour, though I am betting on her to make it through,”

”The pair from Three, @Gauge Watts and @Sofia Temple had not been exactly exciting so far, they have been roaming the Arena without much purpose, and their alliance with @Falabella Mustang is a strange considering the fact Falabella had those rumors before tributes ended the Arena that she had a death wish. So far she has not acted on it, or even mentioned it. This little alliance needs to do something though, the lack of excitement they have provided makes me think they will be seeing a mutt soon. Yawn! We are not watching the Hunger Games to see them do nothing, so they will certainly be pushed to be entertain us soon, which I am thankful for because this alliance should be done for already,” she shrugged, not caring to go into too much detail.

”Next we have the two Fours. A very interesting dynamic, it is not common for District partners, and especially Careers, to not want to stick together or to seemingly dislike each other. And we all heard those rumors of these two art the bar, did we not?” a shrug, a wink, the mystery being allowed to linger through the entire scene, ”Currently @Haven Marinus is fighting Antiope from One, she ran off shortly after the arrival of the Sixes interrupting her fight against Antiope and Aero. Haven has two kills under her belt, but frankly she has lacked too much excitement. Her alliance with @Eli Loom from Eight is an interesting one, it almost seems like Eli is far more aggressive than she is, which we appreciate from him, though we understand that seeing how he is fighting to get back to his loved one he has to be that way. It's a bummer he is outnumbered now starting day Four and we might lose him over the more boring Sixes who have barely done anything the entire time. It is my hope Capitol fan-favorite @Aero Reeves will suddenly change his mind and help Eli take down the Sixes instead now that Antiope is not around.” a slight shrug.

”And speaking of disappointments, remember when I had selected Hurricane Ebeenfleau as my pick to win? Dahlings, I assure you I did not realize he was going to be such a snoozefest. For someone who put on a show during the entire pre-games, he surely has been a huge let down. Sitting around with lower district kids doing nothing for three days straight... I sure hope it changes, and he shows off his competitive instinct and kills someone, particularly Robyn who brings nothing to the table. As predicted the pair from Twelve, @Griffin Charcoal and @Raven Anthracite had been doing great, this arena was built for them, and I would not be surprised if either won, despite the fact that neither have been particularly interesting, I don't see them not making the finals at this rate.”

”As a final mention let me harp on the least relevant tributes we have this time around, the lonely and quiet @Oren Manning from Seven and Lumen Tricity from Five who for some reason have survived with no consequences despite doing nothing. I am hoping Day Four brings us some kind of excitement, the rise of a new reign of terror, and perhaps the trimming of the numbers. Something has to happen ASAP!!!”

The red light turned off and Mirage nodded solemnly, she had been on for a limited time, as her time-slot had been given away already until she got better, and considering she had not given a warning before arriving the programming had not been able to change as drastically. But at least now they knew, no sickness was going to make Mirage lose her fame.

Mirage sat on her usual spot, she was still under the weather but she was refusing to let go of the fame that came from being the prime time hostess of the Hunger Games. And thus, she had powdered her face, put on her heels and appeared at the studio in time for her show. This time no one tried to stop her. Squawker had been brimming with 'get well soon' and 'you're an inspiration for working so sick' messages which was only giving the network much more money. And thus Mirage was even more revered than before, if that was even possible.

”Welcome back dahlings, what a day was it not? Finally, we got the bloodbath we had been expecting for! So many deaths already!" if Mirage smiled she would have been beaming, "Six deaths, just as many as the ones from the very first day, the tributes truly delivered today, did they not?" a pause, a swig of her wine which had been infused with some of that powder against the sickness she had gotten. A gift from the network to keep their highest paid diva in good health.

"Let's get started, the day began with the deaths of both @Haven Marinus and @Eli Loom both of whom were some of the front runners of the Games. Haven losing against Antiope was not a surprise whatsoever considering how weak she appeared all throughout, but good on her for fighting so hard despite the odds being against her. On the other hand, Eli's death comes with plenty of surprises, not only is he killed by @Epoxy Bazalgette from Six which came out of nowhere, but he reveals he is in love with his mother and not the mayor's daughter! I am not surprised to hear that incest happens in lower districts like Eight, but it was shocking. My condolences to all of those who had been calling themselves Loomiacs on Squawker, I know this was a hard revelation for all of you hopeless romantics out there," it was the coldest of apologies but that was just who she was.

The screen changed to a moving picture of Antiope and the Sixes fighting. "And Antiope, mon coeur, she once again takes down a whole district on her own. First she puts down the sick and delusional Epoxy and afterwards she scares Wheelemina Mau into drowning herself. How dramatic was that? I certainly believe Antiope has proven herself as the bigger threat in the Games despite the fact that she has been struggling with her injuries. But I am sure plenty of donations are coming her way, @Reverie Splendor, dahling, I hope you are ready to get a lot of attention. Your tribute has the most kills so far, and has done far better than the past few disappointments for your district," a shrug, "And she also helped us get rid of the scum from Six, it was the equivalent of taking out the trash, was it not?"

A pause as the image changed once again, this time to the big fight in the elevator, "And finally some action from all the tributes. Who knew a feast would be so successful? Every tribute either showed up, or died, besides Antiope but she had a pretty action-packed day so we will forgive that. Despite the action-packed battle only Lumen Tricity from Five died taking with him all the hopes for Five to have a Victor, unsurprisingly so. More importantly though, it was also the first kill of @Raven Anthracite who along with her district partner @Griffin Charcoal are quickly gaining popularity as the favorites to win despite not doing much until today. It's not only the very clear area advantage they have over other tributes, but their alliance with powerhouse @Hurricane Ebbenfleau and the relationship they both have, it is clear one of them could finally bring some glory to the disgusting District Twelve," a pause as the images turned to the Sevens, "On the other hand we have the Sevens who are not aligned, are not enemies, and while they seem to actually care for each other, neither really stands up for the other, @Robyn Thistila proves that beauty and brains don't always come together, as she allows her allies to hack at her district partner @Oren Manning who has been alone the whole time. Not only that, but her clearly one-sided romance with Hurricane only spells disaster for the airhead from Seven. I am sure you have all seen the paparazzi pictures of Hurricane with last year's Victor @Circe Hallworth and if we know anything about the siren from Four is she does not like to share. I heard she has tried bribing Game-Makers to get Robyn taken out by a mutt but has not been able to convince them to do so," another rumor she could start which would only make people speak about her more, she was pure genius.

"Finally we see the death of @Gauge Watts who seems to drop in the middle of his fight against HUrricane. My sources tell me he died out of starvation, though I wonder if the kill is given to Hurricane's tally... he almost had him, did he not? I, for once, am glad to see Gauge die as he was boring, as are his two allies @Sofia Temple and @Falabella Mustang who finally said she does not have a death wish... was anyone else confused about that? I wonder if she is bipolar or does not... they all fought though, and for some reason after losing yet another ally, wounded hero @Aero Reeves has taken a liking on Falabella which makes me think she is going to die soon, as we all know Squawker has been going off with the #AerosCurse hashtag due to the fact everyone he gets close to gets murdered. Wouldn't it be funny if Falabella followed suit?" a shrug, a dismissive hand awave.

"As the anthem blares, the fight continues, but tune in tomorrow to hear my thoughts on the conclusion of these events, meanwhile go back to the Games, and join me in Squawker with all your thoughts! Goodbye dahlings!" and thus it was over, she stood up uncaring and headed to the door. She needed to watch the Games, but she wanted to do so from the privacy of home.

The lights in the studio come on, Mirage had been waiting on her couch for a few minutes now as she watched the fight in the elevator. One of them would die soon, and she would be able to have her special top eight episode once again. People lived for it, they all wanted to listen to her final predictions as they headed into the final leg of the Games.

”Welcome dahlings, to a very special episode of The Vision. With the sudden death of @Sofia Temple at the hands of Seven's own @Robyn Thistila we have reached our top eight. Soon you can tune in as Capitol TV's own Flambo-yant Glamour travels to the districts to interview the families and loved ones of the Top Eight tributes. Their districts would receive some extra food and provision because of the efforts to entertain us this Hunger Games,” it was the typical plug for the announcement of the Top Eight. Flambo was one of her few friends, so she didn't mind promoting his show, especially considering unlike Rosalind Richter he actually had some talent. ”As you all know, for this episode I will be ranking the final eight tributes and recapping their achievements and chances, make sure to take some notes dahlings so you can place those bets before it's too late”

”Coming in eighth place, it's obvious, it will be @Falabella Mustang, due to the #AerosCurse it is obvious that she has been marked for sudden death. Not only that but she is already dying, which is pathetic on its own. Why not die with some dignity? I don't understand it, but she is certainly a dead girl walking, so I don't foresee her lasting much longer. Her limited fighting experience, and idiocy at helping her enemies during a time of crisis makes her weak and a strong contender to get axed next,”

”Seventh place will go, surprisingly, to everyone's favorite tragic hero @Aero Reeves one of the front runners up until his separation with One's own Antiope Damu-Almasi. We have all enjoyed Aero's story of losing ally after ally, and while he is far stronger than most tributes left, he is getting ganged up on in the tunnel with only the help of two virtually worthless tributes. And while normally he would be able to hold his own, the odds are certainly against him,”

”With Aero and Falabella gone, sixth place will be @Oren Manning, one of the least exciting tributes this Games, and the only one who did not have any solid alliances at any point. He is currently fighting for the losing side, and when they are taken down the alliance of the Twelves and Hurricane will quickly turn on Oren promptly disposing of him. Which is probably for the best considering the boy does not have much to offer any longer,”

”And here is where it gets interesting, an alliance of Four against arguably the strongest tribute in the Arena. A battle is surely to ensue, and while Antiope would be grossly outnumbered I think she had proven time and time again to be a big surprise, which is why I think @Raven Anthracite will be shot down using an arrow. Out of the remaining tributes I believe both Griffin and Hurricane could take an arrow and Robyn is faster, but Raven is so malnourished that a well-placed arrow could easily bring her down,”

”In fourth place in close quarter combat, @Robyn Thistila will be the next one to die. Fourth place, because despite finally getting a kill, I think she is the least tenacious out of the final five and thus would be an easy take down for Antiope,”

”Unfortunately at this point, I have to give bronze to Antiope Damu-Almasi, who would be a victim of the odds. Two on one, and one being a strong Career would not bode well for One's princess. She would go down like a warrior, and leaving a great track record behind.”

”During the final take down I believe it's obvious the winner would be @Hurricane Ebbenfleau, not only is he in better shape than @Griffin Charcoal but he is a stronger fighter, and far better prepared despite the arena advantage that Griffin holds. I believe the fight would be a lot better than expected, but ultimately the odds would favor Hurricane giving District Four their second Victor in a row,” a dismissive wave of the hand, she wished she had been able to predict something else but it was the only thing that made sense, ”What do you think dahlings? Let me know on Squawker and share your own predictions with me too! Until next episode, adieu,”

The final fight was still going, and while Mirage had her eyes glued to the screen she was also aware that with a new anthem a new episode of the Vision had to be out immediately. It was so difficult being her some times, but she had a commitment to her fans, she knew that without her incredibly accurate opinions they would not know how to bid their money, or what to do. She was basically the air they breath, and she was not about to be accused of negligence because she had chosen to stay home and watch her show.

"Welcome dahlings, and thank you for tuning in despite the fight going on right now,” she had to be humble, it was what her fans most adored about her, how down to Earth she was despite the fact that she was clearly a superior diva, ”How are you enjoying the final fight? It's thrilling is it not? Before we start with the developments lets take a moment of silence for everyone's favorite hero: @Aero Reeves getting murdered by non other than our choice for runner-up, @Griffin Charcoal, what a shock! Mon coeur, I could not believe my eyes as one the Capitol's favorite tributes went down just like that. If anything, though, it cemented the strength of the pair from Twelve both getting kills on the fifth day,” she paused to take a long drink of her wine.

”The battle of the elevator concluded as @Hurricane Ebbenfleau and @Robyn Thistila chose to escape, and as they did @Falabella Mustang our confused, bipolar Ten somehow managed to convince the two Twelves that they needed to work together to bring down the Careers. Scandalous! It worked though, and the three of them headed out of the elevator,” she shrugged slightly, ”We are then treated to a very unique situation when Hurricane comes face to face with Antiope from One who was supposed to be a member of the Pack, and when it seems the two are about to go head to head Robyn comes running with news that the other three want to take both Hurricane and Antiope down! Robyn earns some much needed brownie points for solidifying an alliance with the Careers and warning our favorite tributes of what is to come, likewise @Oren Manning stumbles to their side to fight alongside them. He looks more death than alive, but A for effort,”

”Most tributes receive donations to help themselves going into this final battle, which I believe will be the finale. An impromptu finale? Talk about dreams coming true! Two very distinct sides with the Careers and the Sevens against the Twelves and Falabella. Obviously the side that has the best odds is the Careers side, not only for having the two strongest tributes but because Falabella is basically dying as we speak. Squawker has been riveting with the theories of what her mysterious illness is, the current winner so far is 'cancerosyphilitis' which according to username Dr.Flashbang is a rare form of cancer that is very common in lower districts like Ten which comes from having a lot of unprotected sex in dirty places like the stables, which would indicate that Falabella has been pimping herself out. Scandalous! Isn't it? It would certainly explain a lot though.” a shrug, she knew it wasn't true but it was such a funny theory that she could not help but share it.

”As the anthem approaches we see the fights have become really siloed, with Hurricane fighting the much weaker Falabella, the Sevens taking on Griffin, and @Raven Anthracite growing the biggest pair of balls and going after Antiope. My bets for the winners of each fight? Hurricane, of course, Antiope and Griffin, perhaps Robyn if Oren is of some help before dying which will happen really soon. But, my final four prediction still stands, watch it happen!” another shrug, ”And now, let's go back to watching this fight, because it's getting interesting. Until next time dahlings!”

Mirage sat on her couch. The Hunger Games were over, and she done it. Two years in a row she had predicted the winner. Oh, how the Squawk-o-sphere would rave about her abilities, some were already calling her a psychic, the Oracle. Maybe she should change the Vision to the Oracle, it really had a nice ring to it. And now, she just needed to make sure she got it a third year in a row. That was skill.

"Welcome back dahlings to the Vision's Aftermath show of the 122nd Hunger Games. Where we recently crowned our newest Victor @Hurricane Ebbenfleau. Which should come as no surprise to anyone here considering that I predicted he would be the Victor during the Reaping,” if Mirage smiled she would be beaming but she never did, she was the Ice Queen of the Capitol, "And what a finale, was it not?” she took a long sip of her wine and winked at the camera, "That final fight was something else, one for the books. I don't think anyone was surprised when @Falabella Mustang fell so quickly during the fight. The girl was a living corpse and with her dying wish... it was very unamusing and unexpected. Something that was more surprising was that @Raven Anthracite managed to knock one of the strongest tributes out. Antiope Damu-Almasi, the tribute with the most kills is taken out by one of the strongest Twelves we have seen in a while. A true story of underdogs overcoming things,”

Mirage poured herself more wine and continued, "After Antiope falls, it should be two on two. And I know there has been a lot of talk about whether Raven was smart or not to help Griffin sooner. Antiope was dying, and some have been saying she should have left her to die while she helped Griffin. Instead, she arrived a little late and the two-on-one fighter @Griffin Charcoal finally went down. And let me say, for once in their life District Twelve can be proud of their tributes, for once they made it far and provided a show, and they were not complete commoner garbage. So, cheers to District Twelve for being the last District standing and proving to everyone in the Capitol that even garbage can dream sometimes!” she downed the rest of her drink.

"And now, let's talk about the one-sided romance between Hurricane and @Robyn Thistila, as we all know it had a tragic yet foreseeable ending. Sweet, pretty Robyn never stood a chance, she was trapped like a fly in a spiderweb. Killed, mercilessly. That final moment where he chokes the life out of her, and it's all done... beautiful, true artistry!” the final scene played on the television for everyone, "And with this, I congratulate Hurricane Ebbenfleau for his Victory, and for all of you true fans I am happy to announce,” there was nothing happy about her face or tone, "Hurricane will be joining us soon for a final interview. With me, Mirage, where it all started. Until then, have a great night dahlings and have a cocktail for me!”
