There is a continuous cycle throughout the world that each one of us plays a very special part in. When you feel the pain, or you feel joy, it is your soul that is being caressed in her gentle palm. Every decision you make, and every step that leads you to the finish line was predestined for you. She watches us, and takes care of us, you will never stray from her path, because you will always be safely nestled in her loving embrace. Never look back and think what could have been, because she will always have something far better planned for your future. We are all interwoven on the same path, and we are all doing what we were created to do.
Everything happens for a reason.
Robyn Thistila was born a little miracle. Her mother had been told young that she would never be able to have a child. So her parents had accepted the fact that they would never feel the swell of joy that a little baby would bring. It was miserable, they were forced to carry a hole within their hearts wherever they went. A gloomy life, rainy, but that time of their lives was just preparing them for the sun to shine through. When they learned they were expecting Robyn, they were ecstatic. Her mother was in absolute shock, she couldn’t believe it for the longest time. Their sadness and anguish all melted away with the arrival of their beautiful baby girl. They nicknamed her their “sunshine” baby because of her contagious little smile she always wore. She even popped out with beautiful locks of blonde hair that shone like the bright rays of the sun. She was absolutely perfect.
Like most families in seven, Robyn grew up in an impoverished house with not a lot of nice things. But by comparison, they were well off. Her father made enough money to properly feed the little family, they never starved. She didn’t have any toys or siblings to play with, but she did have her parents to love and adore her, so in her eyes, they weren’t poor or bad off at all. She was grateful for what she had, and never complained. As she grew older, she took on a constant state of optimism which would sometimes drive people away from her. She just couldn’t ever bare to feel sad about things, because she believed that something wonderful was always just around the corner.
She had a positive attitude about everything, but what she loved more than anything was the beautiful forests of District 7. There was just always a special glow to her expression whenever she was among the beauty of nature. She appreciated it greatly, had a deep respect for it, even believed it was a living, breathing entity. That was the fault of a few tricksters that saw her and decided to play a prank on Robyn’s gullible mind. She wasn’t the smartest you see, she was very naïve, believed and fell for most everything, and her peers knew that. She had been taking a stroll through the woods when she heard the voices of what she was told was “the spirits of the forest”. The voice told her that they were the speakers for the earth, and that she needed to worship and protect nature from the evils of humanity.
Well poor little Robyn fell for it. Ever since then, she was a devoted follower of what she referred to as "Gaia", her parents simply brushed the whole idea off as childish ramblings. But that was far from the case. The silly little girl would entertain herself for hours on end by simply going out into the woods and dancing among the trees. Always with a wild imagination, she'd spin magnificent tales to anyone who'd listen, most of the time that included only her parents. Like the time she caught a little forest sprite but had to let her go or "Mother" would miss the magic creature. Or the time she saved a talking fox from a hunter's trap and was granted three wishes. Always something new for Robyn to be excited about. And never without a big bright smile on her face.
Despite being a little ray of sunshine to her parents, she never quite grasped the equal adoration of the other children her age. You see, in a world where poverty was the norm, and children could be sent off to fight each other to death, there was simply no room for the light to shoo away the darkness. No one wanted it, especially not when it only honed in on the bleak and colorless tones of their own lives. Jealousy beat out kindness in District seven, and as a result, Robyn spent a great deal of her time alone. But with everything, she took it with a spoonful of sugar, enjoyed her time alone. It gave her more time to spend in the woods, with her real friends, the fairies. Carefree, happy, and optimistic for the future.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
