[Transition from Through the looking glass]

The cannon had blasted through the arena, Five had become the first kill of the third day, unfortunately for Antiope she had not managed to kill her before the anthem finished which meant she had not gotten any kills during the second day. She still had gotten a donation though, which she picked up with one hand and opened with the other. She found a healing salve and she sighed in relief, something to help her heal her wounds. Reverie knew what he was doing.

Her stomach growled and she turned to look at Aero who held one of the bags Five had owned, which now belonged to Antiope as she had been the one to take the life. She had done all the work, so why did Aero think he had any right to claim the things? He clearly knew nothing about post-morTem etiquette. Then again he was a commoner from Eleven so not much could be expected.

"You have food there or medical supplies? I am starving..." she grumbled pointing to the bag that Five had thrown at her. She had chosen to ignore his comment regarding the social structure because one thing her father had taught her was that you could not argue about society with peasants, as they did not understand the social structure or the reason for things. Aero thought there was no hierarchy because he had always been at the bottom, so he failed to see things from her perspective.

Antiope sat down on the ground and grabbed the other bag Five had owned and then searched her body finding a weird rock that smelled strange she was not sure what it was but she placed it in her pocket. Inside the bag she found bandages and a lot of berries which she ate at once not caring about her manners for a change.

She pulled out the water bottle and placed it on the other bag before grabbing crackers and eating them as well. Her stomach was still growling and Antiope knew something weird was happening with her body, the fact that the combination of crackers and blackberries was something she found pleasant was disgusting. Yet, she craved the salty-sour combination that was exploding all over her mouth. She was so hungry that her manners had evaporated. It was disturbing.

As soon as she was done she threw the metal shards from her bag to the ground seeing no use for them. Her body was exhausting after the constant fighting, the thought that Aero could be right about her fighting style came to her mind. A thought she brushed off quickly knowing fully well there was no way her companion and ally was going to know more than her when it came to the way the Games worked.

Not before long she had fallen asleep from exhaustion.

Inventory:  Mace [1d45], Brown Leather Satchel [Duct Tape, metal shards (6), Hammer (1d27), empty bottle, crackers (1 portion), Camoflague Paints (1 free successful hide - you do not have to roll], Net, Drawstring Bag [blackberries (5) (1 portion), Bandages (+10hp)], Hardened Salt - This piece of salt has poisonous properties, mix it with water to create a 1d12 poison
Target List: Twins. Haven. Hurricane. Nine. Annoying girl from Ten. Twelves.
Proximity: ---

Notes: +35 from bandages and healing salve (Reverie's donation)/ Also I will wake her on the next post and we can do a time transition, or if you want Aero to GTFO you can too. Just giving options, but I figured it was important for character development and story progression for her to do all this and then eventually pass out from exhaustion.

Antiope was turning out to be a real piece of work. She was like a child Aero had been tricked into babysitting. Throwing fits, demanding her way, only tolerable when she was wanting something from him. Except this child knew the art of deadly combat. At least there was that going for her. Also, Aero just couldn’t bring himself to go back on his word. He’d feel far too guilty to live with himself afterwards. Antiope would have to be the one to break their deal. There were no other options.

Aero didn’t answer her in regards to her request. Apparently, now was an acceptable time to ask for help. Aero would’ve been glad to help her had she not been such a pain about the five girl. He liked helping other people, gave him a sense of purpose. And she certainly did need his help. Beaten and bloody past the point of minor injuries. But he couldn’t help but feel she’d done it to herself. And like any bratty child, needed some tough love. “I’ll check” he says, not entirely dedicated to handing over supplies to her. She was stingy and greedy. She wasn’t like him. Once he gave those supplies away, he’d likely never see them again. And Aero didn’t have that much in terms of food either. He had to be careful with whatever the girl from five had offered him.

As Antiope starts tearing through her supplies, he takes a seat on a rock nearby. He unzips the bag and looks around. He finds cans of food, a lighter, some cloth and string, coffee grounds and a little bag of marbles. No water. That wasn’t a problem for Aero, but this girl definitely wouldn’t have lasted long had he and Antiope not come along to take her out first. But at least now they could eat for a few more days. He pulls out the canister of soup with the thought that it’d provide more substance than a salad would. He turns back to Antiope, ready to offer up the food, but she had fallen fast asleep.

Aero smiles a bit at seeing her sleeping. She was so peaceful when she wasn’t insulting people or trying to kill anyone. Too bad she couldn’t just stay like this and still be helpful. He looks down at the bowl of soup, feeling his own stomach grumble with hunger. He’d save some for her, but he wasn’t about to pass up the opportunity to feed himself. He begins the task of trying to eat the soup as neatly as possible which was no easy feat. After satisfying his hunger he washes it all down with drinking down the rest of the bottle he’d found in the elevator. He wipes the leftover liquid from his mouth with his arm and settles back into a spot to take night watch for the night. Aero was used to not getting any sleep every now and then. Besides, Antiope needed to rest. He was sure she’d wake up and be right back at searching for a new victim to terrorize in the new day.

Antiope stood in the middle of a big palace, she placed her hand on her stomach and when she looked down she noticed that her belly had developed to the size of a bowling ball. Her flowy dress contrasted against her figure. She looked around and saw a man walking towards her: Reverie Splendor. She touched her stomach again and she felt something kicking inside of her, tearing apart her flesh from the inside. She screamed.

Antiope leaned over and threw up all over the ground, she was covered in cold sweat and she knew that the nightmare was caused by her injuries. A feverish dream of sorts coming from the lack of care she had been able to give to all of her open wounds. Unfortunately for her the mines made it hard to even keep the wounds clean enough. And now, with everything going on around her it was impossible to even focus.

Antiope looked up at where Aero was and for a few seconds she wondered if the other man had considered killing her as she slept. She couldn't imagine he was that intelligent, though the longer they spent together the easier the opportunity would arise. Her nightmare made her shift on her seat uncomfortably. She had never before dreamt of being pregnant, or of a child trying to chew his way from inside of her. It all seemed so strange, and out of place.

Slowly she stood up, what day was this? Three? The two Nines were gone, yet another district which got completely destroyed. The second one after the Twos which had been at her hand. All the others had at least one tribute, the majority had two of them though. Only One, Five, Eight, Ten and Eleven had lost their partner. She looked down at her legs and couldn't help but wonder what the dream meant. It was so strange. Suddenly the realization that she had not gotten her period made her heart skin a beat. So far it had been a blessing as she had not had to figure out how to deal with that in the Arena, but in reality she had always worked like clockwork.

The alternative was too much to handle so she pushed it to the side, it would come soon she was certain. Instead, she would focus on something else. She turned to face Aero, "Hey, wanna get moving again?" she asked, her body was sore but she was not about to stay still, not after the rocks had menaced to end her life the night before. This ares was unsafe, her eyes scanned the horizon to figure out where to go from there. Back to the elevator, perhaps?

It had been hard staying up all night. Despite being used to a lack of sleep, Aero just couldn’t do it. But he wasn’t going to risk waking up Antiope. Wasn’t like she was capable of getting up anyways. She was knocked out cold. So instead of leaving them defenseless, he spent a few minutes to spill some of the marbles out of the bag around the surrounding area. Their colorful glass blended in perfectly with the glassy mine floor, making them impossible to see. Aero was betting on an intruder slipping and hurting themself, waking him up before they could do anything.

After a good nap, he was back to guarding as Antiope finally woke up. Her initial peaceful demeanor had diminished over the night. He’d watched her struggle with herself, with dreams. He wondered if she was capable of feeling fear. Surely she was...after all, she was human. Aero’s attention is immediantly caught by her retching all over the floor. He hops up, startled and concerned for the wellbeing of his partner. Was she really so injured? They’d send her something that would help, right? She’d gotten a kill last night, her mentor must be sending all sorts of medical supplies. But clearly whatever they were sending wasn’t enough.

He kneels down next to her, patting her back as she vomits. He frowns as she stands up, acting like nothing was wrong. Was she going to scold him for caring now? That was what he expected. Course, he couldn’t help it. Horrible and nasty as she was, she was all he had. That was excuse enough. He shakes his head. “You hurt real bad, Antiope. I dun think huntin is a good idea. We’s just stay here for a bit, get you fixed up good” he says, turning to his bag. He pulls out his leftover canister of healing salve that Isaiah had sent him. He wanted to help her, but he didn’t want to give up something so precious just for nothing. “This more of that healin stuff, I trades ya for that poison salt you took from that dead girl” he offers, holding it out to her.

He’d been paying all sorts of attention to Antiope when she’d killed that girl. It was a tense situation and it would’ve been stupid not to. He’d seen her pick it up. Aero knew all about what sorts of things were safe to eat or not. He was sure that salt was poisonous cause of the off white tint. Wasn’t normal that was for sure. There’s no way she’d refuse in the state she was. She needed all the help she could get. Especially with the sudden rumbling of the elevator lowering down into the mine. Someone had called it. Someone was in there. “Awh shoot, now ain’t a good time for this…” he mutters, turning back to her. “Quick hand it over, we ain’t got time to move no more” he shakes his head. He quickly picks up the pick, swinging it around in a few practice swings before facing the elevator a short distance away. He’d be ready for them, whoever it was.

The soft beeping sound bounced around the general area as the parachute came from seemingly nowhere and landed at Aero’s feet. Inside was Boost Energy Drink (+3 to attacks all day, 1 portion) and a note.

”You are doing great. Keep up the good work. I’m already coming up with designs for your victory tour! You can do this. Don’t let your guard down around One, though. I’ll send more if I can later in the games.

There was no way to keep this quiet now, Aero, the boy from elven stood there at the ready as Eli approached. He knew they were coming because the fucking elevator is the loudest piece of shit in the fucking world. He smiled as he came up to them. "Hello there, good morning." He hadn't noticed the marbles that were laid out on the ground for the next unsuspecting victim to slip upon. He took the bait, hook line and sinker.

He felt his feet slip out from under him and his body went up in the air for a brief moment before slamming back down onto the ground. "SON OF A BITCH!" The words came out of his mouth before he could stop them. He quickly scattered the marbles and stood up. His eyes narrowed on the big ass dude standing in front of him.

"Clever." He decided that punching him would be the best course of action but perhaps not, time would only tell. He ran up and drew back his fist before pushing it forward towards the mutants face.

Haven stepped out of the elevator behind Eli, only to see him slip and fall on something. Marbles? What an odd trap, but still a clever one since no one would have been expecting that. At least Eli had the sense to scatter them so she could easily run past to where Antiope was. "Hey Antiope. How is it going? You don't look too good." she said with a bit of a grin. Taking down this career was going to be wonderful.

She promptly stabbed at her abdomen with her sword. She wasn't playing around. She didn't need a repeat of the fight with Gage.

Aero had been so concerned with Antiope’s well being that he hadn’t even noticed the incoming sponsor package land on the ground behind him. However, he quickly took notice when he turned around. He opens the canister, finding a drink, which seemed odd considering how much water he had. He finds another note, but has no time to try to decipher what it might say, but he recognizes Josie’s name at least. He grins, stuffing the note into his pocket and quickly chugging the energy drink. More to drink could only help, and he was glad he did. As son s the liquid was down, he felt a energetic buzz coursing throughout his system. He was fully awake now.

Which would ultimately prove useful as the first tribute steps out of the elevator. It’s a smaller boy, from 8, wearing a big grin on his face. Aero might’ve returned the smile in a regular setting. But this was no regular setting. And something about the way the boy smiled at him gave him a sense of uneasiness not easily conquered. Aero says nothing in response to his cheery and slightly unsettling greeting, merely frowns. However, his frown soon can’t help but twist into a covered up laugh as the 8 soon stumbles, slipping and sliding on the marbles that Aero had completely forgotten about. “Thanks, I like ta thinks so” he responds with a grin.

Then the boy goes to hit him. Though small, he packed quite the punch, causing Aero to stumble back a bit. He shakes off the initial blow, slightly rubbing his jaw with his free hand before raising the pick to slice the sharp end across the boys chest. But then his attention is caught by the girl accompanying him. The career girl from four. That was who he wanted dead. That was who Antiope wanted dead. He could care less about the 8. She steps over the marbles, grinning like a fool as she says hello to Antiope, completely ignoring him. These people were far too arrogant, just like Antiope.

The girl was right, Antiope didn’t look good. Truth was, she wasn’t doing good. She might not even be able to walk away from this fight because of her arrogance in the previous ones. But maybe that would be what happens to this new pair. They’d bite off more than they could chew. And would end up paying the price for it. Aero watches, helpless to prevent as the sword quickly inflicts a good hit on an already weakened Antiope. Aero grits his teeth in annoyance, realizing just how bad things looked for his side. If Antiope died, he doubted he could take the career and eight on his own. He might have to run. But for now, he’d fight.

But he couldn’t decide who to swing at. On one hand, he could pay back the 8 for punching him in the jaw. But he had a promise to him for Alamanda to keep. It seemed to make perfect sense that her murderer would be the four. Antiope was predictable, he assumed she’d stake claim on the girls life and bite back at him should he try to help. Such a tough decision. He was completely puzzled as to which person to swing at. For now he simply stood there, watching the boy from 8 with narrowed eyes and anticipating another attack.

Antiope was selfish, she was arrogant, and she had a huge superiority complex but she was not stupid. She knew that she was not in the best state, and even though she hated the fact that Aero was trying to baby her and treat her like she was some type of broken piece of china she was also aware that his trade was the best thing she could do. She didn't need the two pieces of salt, she had no idea what either of them were as she had spent the entirety of the Pre-Games training for strength and speed not caring whatsoever to learn about survival, poisons, or healing. The salve was far more helpful than two pieces of salt which she perceived to be useless.

As soon as she had her hands on the salve she opened it and started spreading it across her skin. The relief was instantaneous. Not because she was suddenly healed, but because at least she felt cooler, more in control, her skin was not burning and the bleeding seemed to have ceased. The bruises even seemed to look less intimidating though she was certain that was just her mind playing tricks on her. Showing her what she wanted to see.

The roaring of the elevator made her stand back straight, pain shooting through her ribs. She knew that whoever came out would not be an easy fight, but she was a Career and she could not back out. What would Reverie think if she did? Where would he get donations if she was running away so quickly? And either way, wouldn't the Game-Makers intervene if she was outnumbered? It wouldn't be the first time they saved an interesting tribute, one of the Capitol's favorites, in order to appease the audiences, and she was certain she was one of them.

The doors of the elevator opened to reveal one of her main targets along with some boy she had never even noticed before. Where was he from? Five? Seven? Three? All of them looked the same, honestly. To her surprise, however, the Fours were not together. Instead, Haven was parading around with a lower district boy, this was what she had abandoned her for? After their conversations? It only showed how stupid the other girl was. But like her mother had always said, you can give a pearl necklace to a swine but that doesn't stop them from being a swine.

The bravado with which the girl stepped into the fight was laughable. Haven had always been nice, which was what had annoyed Antiope to begin with. It was like her personality had suddenly changed, as if she felt the need to prove herself a villain or a bad-ass of some sort. As if coming at Antiope with a smirk and mocking her current state would make people think she was far cooler than she actually was. But Antiope knew the truth. And she was certain that everyone else would see through the bravado as well. Much like Five, or Seven, or Three or whoever he was, had proven to be a joke by falling to the ground loudly, Haven was proving to be the fake person Antiope had thought her to be all along. She was acting superior, much like Antiope had all along, it was almost like she was trying to steal her personality to prove a point. Pathetic.

Her thoughts were interrupted when Haven swung at her. The hit landed, hard, and Antiope grunted in response. But she stood back up, regal as usual, she looked down at the pathetic excuse for a Career. Unlike the charlatan she was about to face down, Antiope knew a thing or two about combat, if Haven really wanted to prove herself then there could be no intervention. One on one. Woman to woman. Queen to ursurper.

"It amazes me how easily you forget your place Haven," she turned to Aero, "this is the scum that killed your little friend so don't tell me she doesn't belong at the bottom of the food chain," he had tried to tell her before when she had murdered Five that not everyone belonged in a box, but she knew even he would agree that Haven was the lowest of low, "If we are going to do this, we are going to do this right. He better not intervene," she pointed at Five, Seven, Three or whoever he was, "If him and Aero want to fight then they can do that, but you are supposed to be Career so you shouldn't need someone to back you up and jump me. Even you are not pathetic enough to need that, so it's going to be you and me. And lucky for you I let you have the first hit, and I have a handicap. But to be fair, this is the only way in which you stand any chances," she continued her monologue completely uncaring of whether the others wanted to move forward with the fight, she could easily skirt past their attacks if they tried to interrupt her, "With that being said, you envious imp. I will commence," she said as a warning before getting into a fighting stance.

With surprising speed for how injured she was she used her hind leg to propel herself forward, kicking up towards Haven's disproportionate head with her heeled boot. Then, still on the air she shifted her body weight so she could spin over her own axis swinging the mace in a rapid succession towards the peasant's chest in an attempt to knock her air out. She landed on a crouching position and quickly straightened back up with a smile on her face. She was weakened, but that did not mean she was not the biggest threat in that arena.

She would show Haven why Antiope was the Warrior Queen.

Eli stood there for a moment, watching as the two of them groomed themselves. What the hell did they think they were doing? Trying to make themselves look good for the capitol? It was stupid, sure, talk it up you stupid bitch. In a few more moments her mouth would be hanging opened and blood would be spilling from her body. He had faith in his ally and knew that she could easily take that arrogant sack of shit down in no time at all. Contrary to what that the career from one thought, if she needed help, he would step in a help her. "It's called an alliance for a reason...But you wouldn't know what those reasons are. You are too damn stuck on yourself to even take help." He shook his head. It was a pity really, the two standing before him could have been powerful but she was so set on doing everything herself, that she was going to die now.

As the boy from eleven stood there, open mouth and confused. Eli knew he was having a hard time deciding on who to attack. "Here,
let me make the choice easy for you."
He lifted her fits and came down on the other man's chest with as much force as he could.
Right now, it was about distracting him from Haven. Haven could kill the girl from one and they could knock out eleven with no other issues. Eli smirked as Haven's hit had knocked one back, but almost stepped into help when Haven was knocked back as well. It had been a powerful hit from the one but Eli knew that Haven could handle it. "Just get angry Haven, stay focused, but get angry!"

He looked back at the boy from eleven and shook his head. "Could have been better than this..." He noted as he watched the boy stare at his 'ally.' After all he was just the career's puppet to play with and use whenever she saw fit. Eli knew what people like Antiope were like. They were full of themselves and never really gave anyone else a choice. He had grown up with people like her,
because no matter what district one comes from there are always those that are 'better' than the others.

So it began. Four corrupted souls, with shadows guiding what was left of the husks where life once held sway. They were all killers, though their faces were obscured to him, covered in the little black dots he had seen before. He could tell from the way they stood, the way they so easily fought with one another. Each of them, alone could destroy whomsoever they chose of the innocent left wandering the mines. Even Epoxy, strong as he was and carrying a blade built to separate these shades from what little life they clung to, even Epoxy could not stand up to them on his own.

Fortunately, he would not have to. Already, they had turned on one another. Two fought fiercely against the third. A fourth stood by the side, uncertain his actions. The least broken of them all, but twisted nonetheless. It was a lopsided battle, for the moment. But one that could easily be turned. As he closed the final distance between him and the others, he knew what he had to do. Others might have announced their presence, informed them of what was coming and explained why it was happening. But Epoxy was not a man of words. He was a man of action. And so he struck.

Charging into the fray, sword high in his hand, he would defend the losing side… for now. With all the force he could muster, he dug his sword into the side of a shadowy tribute whose name he did not know.

Haven looked to Antiope as she began to talk before she looked over to Aero. "Gage was your friend? Sorry 'bout that." she said, though it seemed odd that he had been off by himself with these two here. Why hadn't they suck with him if they were such good friends? She didn't connect anything to the girl from his district, since she wasn't the one who had done anything to her.

Eli spoke up before she did though when Antiope stated that just the two of them should fight. "No, Eli. She is right." she said before looking back to the career in front of her. "Just you and me." she agreed. That was how this fight should go down. She didn't care that she thought Haven was weak. She didn't care that she thought she was pathetic for having paired with Eli. After all, she had paired herself up with Antiope.

Her own attack had been a strong one, but Antiope's was stronger. She was about to attack back when someone came up beside her and stabbed her with his own sword. "What the fuck?" she hissed toward Epoxy before looking back to Antiope. "What? You can't even follow your own damn rules?" she snapped. She stood their preaching how it was supposed to be just the two of them fighting, but she had someone coming to help her? She just assumed that Epoxy was with her. He had to be, right?

So many things were happening at once that it was near impossible for Aero’s mind to focus on one issue and stick to it. While he’d been standing there trying to decide to swing at the four or eight, the boy slammed his fists into Aero’s chest. Aero grunts, stumbling back from the heavy hit. It suddenly occurred to him in his mind that this was a real fight for his life. Not like the fight with the boy in the cornucopia. He had a real chance of dying now. That seemed to really put things into perspective. Then the boy makes a jab at his decision to side with Antiope. Aero was tired of people judging him for his choice. It got him this far didn’t it? Besides, who was this boy to judge him when he’d done the exact same thing just with a different career? What was the difference? “Tough words for yous considerin yous in the same sitchuation I is. Juss a different boss” he narrows his eyes.

Then Antiope decided to make a spectacle of herself with a long speech about who knows what. All Aero needed to hear was that he and the eight wouldn’t be interfering with their fight. Which meant eight was all his. Aero didn’t want to hurt him of course, but it had to be done. And he was already past that line of oblivion that came with being branded a murderer. He hears the girl, Haven, apologizing for killing somebody named Gage. Aero didn’t know him. That wasn’t what he wanted blood spilt for. “I ain’t know nobody named Gage. You kill Almanda. She didn’t deserve it none. You jus a terrible person, high and mighty career. Killin innocent things just cause...she was jus a lil girl!” Aero shouts, suddenly growing agitated with the sudden reminder of his failure to keep his promise.

It was all her fault. But Antiope would take care of her, that was made evident by the way she quickly sprung into action, smashing the mace into the girl as if she were perfectly healthy. Behind the girl Aero notices a shadowy figure approaching from within the mine. Aero watches as the tribute steps into the light and stabs out into Haven with a magnificent looking sword. Aero can’t help but smile a bit at the sudden and unexpected help. He eyes the boy a bit, recognizing him to be Epoxy, Wheeler’s partner. Where was wheeler? Aero couldn’t see the small tribute hiding anywhere, which meant she must be wherever Epoxy had come from. He hoped she stayed far away from all this and Epoxy hadn’t lead her into this mess. There was something off about the boy, a distant glazed expression that he couldn’t place.

He wanted to shout out some form of gratitude or appreciation for the boys actions, but it suddenly occurred to him how furious Antiope would be, especially with what Haven says. “Antiope don’t you touch that boy!” he calls, a warning to her. There was no way Antiope would win this fight on her own. “Epoxy! Getcha magic sword this way and help me with him!” he calls, hoping the boy was truly a friend rather than a foe. Aero knew that from his point of view it didn’t matter which side he helped. Both had a dangerous career that needed to be taken down. But perhaps Wheeler had mentioned to him how Aero had been when he’d helped her take down that mutt. Aero could only hope.

He turns back to the boy from 8, cracking his neck with a scowl on his face. He takes a deep breath. “I’s sorry I gotta do this to yous, but we all wanna see home” he says before raising the pick and swinging the tip down to his shoulder as hard as he could.

Truth be told, Antiope was privileged. Not because she was richer or more educated than the other people around her. It was not the fact that she understood fashion and etiquette. No. Her privilege was the blessing that she could easily tune out poor people, and thus when Three, Five or Seven spoke she barely even noticed it. Barely a bleep on her radar. She was tired of listening to all the commoners speak at her like she had to care about what they said. Antiope was far too great to have to suffer through the conversations or opinions of people who barely even mattered.

The boy from Three, Five, or Seven continued barking and all Antiope wanted was for Haven to tighten the leash. But it was clear that was not going to happen, because he continued until Aero stepped up and gave his own little speech and attacked the boy. He may be poor, but he was certainly the right person for Antiope to align with. He knew how to follow orders like a good soldier and he was strong. But Antiope didn't have time to pay attention to the other fight because she was expecting for Haven to attack her back.

Before the other could, or perhaps because she didn't. A fifth figure appeared in the area, there were no words that came but the boy attacked Haven which irritated Antiope greatly. Four was her enemy and whoever this moron was he was not following the rules she had established, something that Haven pointed out as she ignorantly called the new boy Antiope's ally. As if. "He's not with me, unlike you I don't break my promises," she said referring clearly to the fact Haven and Hurricane had abandoned her at the Cornucopia.

Suddenly Aero was calling on the new boy, Epoxy, a stupid name for a stupid boy, she rolled her eyes, "Make sure he stays away, this is my fight!" she growled as a warning, if she needed to take down Epoxy first she would but she trusted Aero to do the right thing. Like he always did. And because of that she chose to focus on Haven, swinging the mace at the other's head.

Decapitation would be a good way for the air-head to go. Do a favor to the world and bury the head somewhere so no one had to be forced to stare at her hideous stringy hair.

Haven was knocked back and as soon as she went to attack another attacker came out of nowhere. Ambushed! They were set up and ambushed. Eli knew it was all part of the games but it was bullshit. What the fuck were these cowards doing.
One of them couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and the other, well she was taking to kicking Haven's ass just fine. But Haven was a fighter and wasn't going to give up that easy. He knew she strong and apparently didn't want his help. No problem, he had his own shit to deal with. As he swung his fist into the tank standing in front of him, Sunny took off. He nodded at the bird, knowing full well he could become someone's stew if he didn't fly away.

Epoxy was a larger boy, he had a large gemmed sword that looked pretty deadly. The boy from eleven was trying to get the guy to help him in the fight. Epoxy looked like he was losing his shit, his eyes were a little distant and he didn't say anything. He really hoped that he wasn't here to just attack the two of them, but he probably was. They were duped and but they were going to go out swinging.

As the words about the girl from his district, the tiny little babe, he was her protector and he failed. Eli didn't care, it was all part of the games. Did he really thing that he was going to get the little shit out of the arena alive? It wouldn't have happened and at least this way he didn't have to watch her die. Eli wanted to know if Haven was okay, but he didn't have time to pause and look at his ally as the pick axe from the eleven swung down towards his shoulder. He ducked out of the way and dove at the boy trying to take him down into a tackle. He just wanted to snap his neck and get it over with, but he needed to be weakened first. Eli wasn't as strong as this kid and if he tired to break his neck he would fail.
